La Villa della Meridiana

The villa has 4 generous bedrooms spread out between the first and second floors. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. The open living area is a large, bright flowing room containing the kitchen, eating area and living space with a beautiful stone fireplace with a wood burning stove adding to the ambiance. In the middle is a long, antique wooden Tuscan dining table from where you can entertain and feast! 

The beauty of the villa is her location. Easy in and out through Porta Colonia. Easy walk to the two main piazzas but without all the noise and traffic at night. In 20 minutes you can walk to the bodega, fresh pasta shop, butcher, baker (& candlestick maker!), cheese, wine and the fruit & vegetable stores. Enjoy a long, leisurely evening out with plenty of good food and wine and walk back to the villa within 10 minutes...no car necessary!

On the main floor:

The "Piccolo room" has a single bed and trundle along with a desk, full length mirror and armoire with a view of the secret backyard garden. This room is good for one adult or two children.

The "La Strada room" overlooks Via Delle Fontanelle and contains 2 single beds (which can be combined to form a king-sized bed) and also contains a large armoire and mirror.

On the top floor:

The "Il Giardino room" overlooks the large garden along with views over the walls and the Santa Maria Nuova church. The bright and sun filled room also contains a full length mirror, large armoire and desk.

The "Giulietta room" has a birds-eye view of the backyard, beautiful stone wall and, of course, the Juliette balcony. The room also contains a full length mirror, large armoire and dressing table.

Outside are the two beautiful gardens; The "secret and secluded" backyard garden contains a large, round travertino table from which to enjoy both aperitivi and al fesco dining prepared in the outdoor BBQ cucina and pizza oven under the protection of the high Renaissance-era stone wall. The main, larger garden on the side of the house contains a long travertino gathering table under the grapevines and jasmine covered arbor while listening to the tranquil sounds emanating from the 1000-year old marble fontanelle and surrounded by fruit trees and a terrace vineyard above.

The house has many modern upgrades that will benefit the environment, energy efficiency, structural integrity for the comfort of her guests. Radiant heat emanates from the terracotta tile floors and split air conditioning will provide cooling and dehumidifying comfort throughout the year. The fully equipped kitchen can provide for gourmet meals or just your daily cappuccino needs. A full-sized washer and dryer is located in the powder room. WiFi and internet ready flatscreen TV.
